2008 NOVENA SCHEDULE
(AS PER BOBBY ACHACON’S EMAIL) We have good news! Fr. Joe has agreed to officiate the mass after the novena on the dates specified below. Except for July 21 and August 18 which is going to be held at St. Barnabas through the kindness of Mons. Pan, the rest of the novena/mass will be celebrated at the Chapel of St. Mary de Luca Convent, located at the northwest corner of Birchmount and Highgate, 2 blocks from Steeles on Birchmount across the St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 14 Highgate Drive, Markham.
Novena Prayers commence at 6:30pm and Mass begins at 7pm.
All the dates and venues are confirmed except for the hosts*.

Sep 14, 2007 - The 9th and last day Penafrancia novena, sponsored by Bicol Canada will be held as usual at Annunciation Church to start at 6:30 p.m. Thereafter, a light snack will be served.
Sep 15, 2007 - Fluvial Procession and Picnic at Bluffers Park, (Brimley Rd. South) Scarborough, ON
9:00 a.m. Start of Fluvial Procession where “Ina” will sail together with about 15 early-comer devotees on “Hayat” owned by Hank and Gidget Borsboom.
11:00 a.m. Mass at the park to be celebrated by Fr. Joe Pena and Mons. Pan, all being Bicolano priests.
12:00 noon “Potluck” lunch and picnic to be coordinated by Lorna Achacon.

** We are holding the novena one week earlier as there will be Confirmation in the Church on April 20.
Sponsors, please note:
- You are asked to be in the church by 6:30 pm.
- You are to assign a lector, 5 rosary decade leaders (we have a rosary leader), and a novena leader.
- Also to be assigned are 4 men who will carry the Virgin and recess with the priest after Mass and return the Virgin to the Shrine.
- If able, fresh flowers in a vase would be appreciated.
- For hall arrangements, please have people come to arrange the chairs and tables by 6:45 pm.
- For food caterers, please have your food set up by 6:45 pm as well.
- Remember, the object of the evening is to have novena prayers and celebrate the Holy Mass. Everyone’s attendance in church is therefore expected.
- We will all need to pitch in to clean up after the celebration. Annunciation Church has guidelines about the use of the furniture and equipment in the hall and kitchen. Thanks.
